Wednesday 22 June Group Evening Cycles
Location: City Hall
Time:  6pm to 7pm.
The routes include: The Island Cycling Track, The Canal Bank and Shannon Riverside Cycle Track and The Condell Road off road cycle track.
 
Thursday 23 June Group Evening Cycles
Location: City Hall
Time:  6pm to 7pm.
The routes include: The Island Cycling Track, The Canal Bank and Shannon Riverside Cycle Track and The Condell Road off road cycle track.
 
Friday June 24th  Cycle Information day with Bicycle Maintenance Workshop
Location: City Hall.
Information and displays will be provided on safe cycling techniques together with updates on current cycling projects in the city.
 
Sunday 26 June Bike Art Workshop –
to help children decorate their bicycles for the Bike Parade at 1pm.
Location: City Hall
Time: 11am to 12.30pm
 
Sunday 26 June The Limerick Bicycle Parade.
Join the fun at King Johns Castle between 12 noon and 1pm and party until 5pm in the Peoples Park.
 
The Bike Parade will be a fun event for cyclists of all ages and abilities . The main purpose is to provide young cyclists with a safe environment in which to experience  cycling in the city centre.
The event will encourage people to think more positively about cycling through the city.
 The highlight of this fun event will be the range of parade contests  being organised.  Those cyclists interested in dressing up are encouraged to choose from the following categories:
Fancy Dressed Cyclist
Most Decorated Bicycle
Cycle Chic ( male & female)
Best Dressed cyclist ( male & female)
Most unusual Bicycle
Oldest Bicycle
Oldest Cyclist
Smallest Bicycle
Youngest Cyclist
 Prizes include vouchers for fashion outlets, cycle shops, bookshops and local restaraunts.
 Also happening after the Parade in the Peoples Park are the Bouncy Castles, Sumo Wrestling, Gladiators, breakdancing, street performers and lots more.
Temporary Bike Racks with security will be provided at the Peoples Park.
 
Ongoing: events for schools
 
Cycle training workshops are being organised for school children throughout Bike Week.  These workshops are organised by Limerick Sports Partnership and the Garda Siochana.
 
Primary Schools in the City and its suburbs have entered a competition to design a poster promoting cycling in Limerick. Prizes include €400  , €200 and €100 euro worth of cycling accessories for winning schools . The winning school will also have their poster posted in the local newspapers during bike week.
